What happens to the details you send with a booking request.

  • Bedroom carpet £36
  • Two-seat sofa £57
  • Mattress £35

Booking a carpet or upholstery clean means sharing a few details with us. Here is what they are, why we hold them, who sees them, when they are deleted and what you can ask us to do with them.

This notice covers londoncarpetcleaners.org, the price form on it and bookings taken by phone. Professional Carpet Cleaners decides how these details are used and is the controller for UK data protection purposes. For anything about it, email office@londoncarpetcleaners.org or ring 020 8077 9696.

What a booking request contains

The form sends the postcode of the home, the rooms, rugs or furniture you picked, roughly when you would like the work done, your name, and a phone number or an email address. Anything typed into the notes field travels with it, so leave out what you would rather we did not hold.

When a job is confirmed, the office adds the street address and how the cleaner gets in. For about ten minutes after each request the site also keeps a one-way coded version of the sending internet address, which is used only to slow down automated spam and is cleared within a day.

Reasons we use your details

The details let us price the visit, call or email you, settle a date, send a cleaner to the right door and take the deposit. The lawful basis under UK GDPR is that you asked us for a service, which counts as a step towards a contract, and then the contract once you book. Records of paid work are kept afterwards because tax and accounting rules require it.

Where your details go

A request lands on this website first, then in the booking system the office works from. The cleaner given the job sees only what is needed to reach you and do the work, such as the address, the access notes and the list of rooms or items. A card deposit is handled by a card payment provider.

Nobody buys your details from us, and no other company gets them for its own marketing. Outside the routes above, they are shared only when a law requires it.

How long they stay

Requests that do not become bookings are removed from this website 24 months after they arrive. Records of booked work are kept for as long as UK law requires business and tax records, then deleted.

What you can ask for

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, for mistakes to be corrected, for your details to be erased and for us to stop using them in a particular way. Send an email or call. We may check that the request is yours before acting, and we answer within a calendar month.

Concerns about our handling can go to the regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Raising it with us first gives us the chance to put it right.

Cookies and server logs

The website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and the price form works without any. Our host keeps ordinary server logs (internet address, browser and pages requested) for security and to find faults.

Deposits and cancellations are set out in the terms and conditions, and every way to reach the office is on the contact page. Last updated October 2026.

Pick the rooms, see the price, then book

Postcode, then the rooms or pieces of furniture: the form adds them up as you go. We ring back to agree the time, and a 50% deposit holds the date.
