Office and shop carpets are priced on a call once we know the floor area and the building, and fabric office chairs start at £10 each. Regular office cleaning and larger sites are priced on a call, often after a viewing at £20.
Offices get the same portable hot water extraction machines that go into London homes, carried in through the front door or the goods lift. That suits small offices, studios, shops and estate agents’ front rooms, usually booked for a weekend or before the working day starts.
Carpet prices for offices and shops
Commercial carpet is priced on a call, since an office rarely breaks into rooms the way a house does. Measure the open-plan floor, the meeting rooms and the reception and give us the total on the call, and the price is worked out from that, the desks and the way into the building. We confirm the actual figure on a call, because the number of desks, the chairs to move and the way into the building all change how long the job takes. A one-off visit starts at £67. Homes and small flats above a shop are priced by the room instead, as on the carpet cleaning page.
Office chairs and reception seating
A fabric task chair is £10, covering the seat and the back. Mesh backs are wiped and brushed, and the fabric seat pad gets the full clean. Chairs in vinyl or leather are priced on a call. In reception, an armchair is £33 and a two-seat sofa £57; the chair and settee page lists the other per-item prices. Seat pads stay damp for a few hours, so book them for late in the afternoon and they have all evening to dry. A run of thirty chairs is a job in itself and can be booked without the carpet.
Visits outside working hours
We book office visits any day from 8am until 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays too, which is why most offices pick a Saturday or Sunday and find a dry floor on Monday. A small office can also book an 8am start, though people should keep off the carpet for a few hours afterwards. Tell us about the building: whether there is a concierge or building manager, whether the machine needs the goods lift booked and who will let the cleaner in and lock up afterwards. Office streets usually mean a meter or a loading bay; the parking charge goes on the bill at the amount paid, capped at £40.
Carpet tiles, loop pile and walkways
Most office carpet is a low loop pile in nylon or polypropylene, often laid as tiles. Dirt gathers in the walkways, by the kitchen or tea point, at the entrance and under desks, where chair castors grind it into the pile. Carpet tiles are held down with a tacky adhesive, so the cleaner keeps the rinse light along the seams to avoid loosening them. Toner from a printer is vacuumed out dry first, because water spreads it into a grey smear. Before the visit, clear bins, bags and loose cables from under the desks. Desks stay where they are and the chairs are wheeled aside.
Regular office cleaning and larger sites
Regular office cleaning, such as kitchens, toilets, bins and desks on a weekly rota, is quoted over the phone after we hear how big the office is and which hours suit you. For a whole floor, several floors or a site with mixed flooring, a viewing at £20 comes first so the price is based on the real space. Tiled kitchens, toilets and entrance floors can be added to the carpet visit and priced on the same call; the hard floor cleaning page explains what that clean involves. We hold the date once half the price has been paid as a deposit, by card or bank transfer. To arrange a call or a viewing, use the details on the contact page.
Questions about office carpet and upholstery cleaning
Can the office be used straight after the clean?
Allow a few hours, with the heating or air conditioning running, before people walk across an office carpet that has just been cleaned. A weekend booking avoids the question altogether.
Do you clean shop floors?
Yes. Carpeted shops, showrooms and estate agents’ front offices are priced on a call like any other commercial floor. The entrance mat area is usually the dirtiest part and gets extra attention.
Can you clean only the chairs?
Yes. Office chairs, reception sofas and boardroom chairs can be a booking by themselves; the visit just needs to come to at least £67.
